Arnaud Pouille was born in the North of France in 1974, and he would prepare for his future career by studying Business Management at the ESSEC University in Paris. His first challenge in a working environment came in the world of rugby, taking on the role of Adminstrative and Financial Director at Stade Français in 2000. Six years later, he joined the Sportys Group, before being named General Secretary of the French National Rugby League (LNR) in 2010. In 2015 he founded a new company, called HFS, which specialises in the management, production and organisation of sporting events.
In 2017, he changed tack, and sport, entering the world of professional football, taking on the role of Financial Affairs Director, before becoming the CEO of Racing Club de Lens in France. He would spend, in total, seven years at the club, with his tenure ending when the club's board of directors decided that there were "divergences in their strategic vision" for Lens.
He wouldn't remain out of work for long, though. His reputation in business management appealed to Stade Rennais, who wasted no time in brining him in to replace the outgoing Executive President, Olivier Cloarec, on 4th October 2024.
