Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal is a promising Moroccan-born central defender, who started his football career in youth football with a club in his hometown, KAC Marrakesh, between 2012 and 2015. This powerful and athletic player continued his progression with the Mohamed VI Academy, before being called up by the Moroccan U17 National Team, for whom he shone with some excellent performances as captain at the 2023 U17 World Cup. A complete defender possessing undeniable qualities, and good in the tackle, he was rapidly picked up on the radars of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Liverpool. In 2024, he was ranked in the Top 60 best talents in World football by the British newspaper The Guardian. Despite the fierce competition, it was Stade Rennais who won the battle for his signature. Aït Boudlal signed a contract on 2nd July 2024, tying him to the Red and Blacks until 2028.
