Having been developed by SM Caen’s Academy setup, Adama Diakhaby arrived on a free transfer to Stade Rennais in the Autumn of 2015. After a good end to the season with the Reserves in CFA2 (French 5th Division), he signed a professional contract for 3 seasons with the Red and Blacks on the 4th July 2016. With three goals in his first few months as a professional, he extended his contract by two seasons on 25th January 2017. At the end of the season, after scoring a brace against league champions Monaco on the last day, he signed for them for 10 Million Euros on 2nd August 2017.
