On 29th January 2024, the Stade Rennais signed the versatile defender Alidu Seidu, a player capable of playing anywhere across the back four, arrived in France in 2019, signing for Clermont, where he helped his side to promotion to Ligue 1, and he was a shining light. The Ghanean international signed for Rennes on a Four-and-a-half year deal, with an 11 Million Euros initial transfer fee, plus a potential 2 Million Euros in bonuses, as well as a 10% share of any added-value, if sold on.
