Born in Pont l'Abbé, in 1977, Bernard Larnicol is one of the players who would get to experience one single appearance with the professionals at Stade Rennais. Defender by trade, this defender spent most of his days at the club playing in the Reserves, and he took advantage of strike by some players in the First Team to get to make his sole appearance in the Second Division, on 19th November 1977. That day, he was selected to accompany a fellow debutant, Jeuland, in central defence, when Rennes played Lille on Matchday 15, in a 2-2 draw. At the end of the 1977/1978 season, he left Stade Rennais to return to his native US Pont
l'Abbé. After his fleeting professional career ended, he became an entrepreneur in the haulage industry.
