On 31st October 1989, Stade Rennais recruited Al Habo Senoussi from Quimper. The defensive midfielder from Chad was originally developed at Nice. Nicknamed “Bob” Senoussi made his Rennes debut a few days later in Division 2 against Laval, and finished the season as first choice. Primarily used as a central midfielder, but also used to help out in different positions in defence, and midfield during the reigns of Raymond Kéruzoré and then Didier Notheaux, Senoussi played a total of 57 matches for Rennes in three seasons, scoring 3 goals in the process. After his departure in 1992 to Le Touquet, he spent five seasons in the lower reaches, before getting back into the First Division with Lille at the end of his career.
