Brandon SOPPY

Central Defender Brandon Soppy hit the big time with Stade Rennais U21 side. On 12th October 2018, aged just 16 years, 7 months and 22 days, he signed his first professional contract with the Red and Blacks, becoming (at that time) the 2nd youngest professional in the club’s history after Georginio Rutter. During the Summer of 2020, he took part in his first pre-season with the First Team group. With Hamari Traoré absent through illness, and Sacha Boey sent off in the opening game of the season in Ligue 1, Soppy made an excellent debut in the top flight on matchday 2 against Montpellier. After a total of 12 appearances, 2 of which came in the Champions League, he left the club which developed him on 30th August 2021, signing for Udinese in Italy for 2 Million Euros.
