Born in Quibdó in Colombia, attacking midfielder/winger Andrés Gómez, made his debut in professional football in 2021 with Millionarios in his native country, scoring 9 goals in 49 matches for his first club. During his time there, he helped his team to victory in the Colombian Cup, and qualification for the Copa Libertadores. He was then transfered on 10th January 2023 to Salt Lake City in the USA on a five-year deal, where he did even better, notching 14 goals and 16 assists in his 56 appearances (of which 39 came as a member of the starting line-up) for the Major League Soccer franchise, Real Salt Lake City, during his two seasons playing in North America.
The 17th August 2024, the profile of the Colombian international caught the eye of Stade Rennais, and convinced him to play for the club in the Breton capital. He signed the Red and Blacks in a deal worth 10.5 Million Euros with 3 Million Euros in potential bonuses, on a five-year contract, and with 15% sell-on clause regarding the added value of any future resale.
His stay in Brittany would not prove to be a memorable one for the Rennes supporters. After just 17 appearances and three goals during his lone season in a Rennes shirt, and struggling to hold down a position in the first team starting line-up, he was given a way out by Brazilian club, Vasco da Gama, in August 2025; where he signed on a loan deal with an obligatory purchase clause, valued at 5 Million Euros. On 21st January 2026, Vasco da Gama made the loan move from Rennes for the Colombian permanent.
