He started his career as a youth with Leeds United from 2013-2020 before signing his first professional contract with the Yorkshire club. Between 2020 and 2024, Creswell made 10 appearances in the first team, and was loaned out in between times to Millwall, where he played in 28 games, scoring four times. In 2024, the England U21 centre half was given an opportunity to get game time and gain experience in Ligue 1 in France with Toulouse. In the “Pink City”, Creswell became a key player, making 60 appearances, and scoring 6 goals from centre-back. With the England U21s he won back-to-back UEFA U21 European Championships, helping the Three Lions to defeat Spain in the Final in 2023, and then Germany in 2025. In the Summer of 2026, Stade Rennais were looking for an established central defender to bolster their defensive options with qualification to the Europa League Group Stages for the first time after two seasons’ absence, and finally secured the services of the English centre back, on 3rd August 2026, in a paid loan deal worth 2.5 million Euro with an obligation to buy for 22.5 Million Euros plus bonuses at the end of the season.
