A year after having missed out of Christopher Wooh, who chose RC Lens when he ended his apprentice professional contract at Nancy in 2021, Stade Rennais finally got their main on 1st September 2022 right at the death of the summer transfer window, replacing another ex-Lens player, Loïc Badé who left Rennes at the same time to join Nottingham Forest on loan. Wooh's transfer cost Rennes 9 Million Euros initially, with a 1 Million Euro bonus. Over the course of three seasons, he never really managed to establish himself as a regular in the the starting line-up for the Red and Blacks, whether it was under Bruno Genesio, Jorge Sampaoli, Julien Stéphan or Habib Beye, and he sides for Spartak Moscow on 5th September 2025. Rennes released Wooh from the final year of his contract to enable him to sign for the Russian club, after making 60 appearances in total in their colours (of which 52 were starts). He was often more at ease coming on as a substitute than when he started game, and his Rennes career was notably strained by disciplinary issues, three red cards to his name, the last of which arrived in the away game at Lorient in August 2025, which ultimately proved to be his last appearance in Red and Black.
