A year after having missed out of Christopher Wooh, who chose RC Lens when he ended his apprentice professional contract at Nancy in 2021, Stade Rennais finally got their main on 1st September 2022 right at the death of the summer transfer window, replacing another ex-Lens player, Loïc Badé who left Rennes at the same time to join Nottingham Forest on loan. Wooh's transfer cost Rennes 9 Million Euros initially, with a 1 Million Euro bonus.
