Hailing from Compiègne, Dann Banzuzi began his footballing journey at the National Football Institute in Clairefontaine, before joining the Stade Rennais Academy setup in 2017. He plied his trade as a centre-back, and would pick up a title in his first season, helping Rennes to win the famous Montaigu tournament, and then the National U17 title. A rugged defender, who was adept at clearing his lines, who would also be called up to make his first appearances in the French U16s, and would be followed by many observers from clubs all over Europe. In 2020, he would sign his first apprentice professional contract for 2 years with the Red and Blacks, but wasn't retained by the club at the end of his contract. He stayed in Brittany, however, signing for Stade Brestois on 27th June 2022.
