Career |

David Le Bras may have been a valiant team-mate of the year group of Etienne Didot, but didn’t have the same career progression. He arrived aged just 13 at Stade Rennais, and this Breton native went through all the Youth Team age groups up to the Reserve team in CFA (French 4th Division). Le Bras path was notably blocked by Didot (who was from Paimpol) and this hardworking midfielder never figured in the plans of the First Team managers the club during his time there, whether it was Christian Gourcuff, Philippe Bergeroo or Vahid Halilhodzic. He departed for Belgium, signing his first professional contract with Beveren. After a disappointing return to France at Lorient (again under the management of Gourcuff), he became a globetrotter, playing in Finland, Thailand, Switzerland and Malaysia.
