|Full name||Diop Tehuti Djed-Hotep Spence|
|Born||Aug 9, 2000|
|Age||23 years old|
On 31st January 2023, on the last day of the Winter transfer window, Stade Rennais signed England U21 international Djed Spence. The English-born right-back arrived in Rennes on a loan deal until the end of the 2022/2023 season (without buyout clause) from Tottenham in the wake of the long-term injury to Lorenz Assignon, compounded by the long-term absence of club captain Hamari Traoré with injury. He would prove interesting as a recruit from an attacking sense, but less so from a defensive point of view. He would go on to make 10 appearances, of which 9 came in the starting line-up. Spence picked up an injury himself in May 2023, and his stay at Rennes was curtailed discretely, and prematurely, with four games still to be played, and he returned to his parent club, Tottenham, for treatment.
