In search of players with potential to bolster their midfield in the Summer transfer window of 2023, Stade Rennais signed Enzo Le Fée, who had spent the 15 previous seasons in his hometown club, Lorient, on 7th July 2023. After protracted negotiations regarding the final year of the French U21 international's contract, Lorient and Stade Rennais agreed on a deal worth 20 Million Euros with bonuses of up to 3 Million Euros. His Rennes debut came on the opening day of the 2023/2024 Ligue 1 season, as they beat Metz 5-1 on 13th August 2023. His qualities would be less on view thereafter, and he produced some off-key performances. He wasn't lucky with injuries either. In the Round of 16 French Cup tie at Sochaux on 6th February 2024 (a 6-1 win for Rennes), he was forced to leave the field with a hamstring injury after just 4 minutes. That injury would keep him out of action for nearly six weeks. After an unispiring second half of the season, much like the team, he would end up making a total of 35 appearances, 26 of which saw him a in the starting line-up. His overall stats were disappointing too, with just five assists and no goals to his name in a Rennes shirt. Although generally expected to remain a Rennes player for the 2024/2025 season, Le Fée surprised everybody by signing for AS Roma on 10th July 2024 on a five-year deal, in a transfer estimated at 23 Million Euros.
