Fernando LOBOS

Striker of Chilean origin, Fernando Lobos arrived at Stade Rennais in 1978 from the amateur club Massy. He was given a spot in the starting line-up for the first two matches of the 1978/1979 league season, but was used sparingly for the rest of campaign, frozen out with the competition from Pokou and Spreco for his position. His career at Rennes would consist of just 10 appearances, 5 in the starting line-up, and two goals to his name. Both of his goals came in a 2-1 victory for Rennes against Quimper on Matchday 19. He was released by the club at the end of the season, after a single year in Brittany, and he returned to amateur football with his former club, Massy.
