Younger brother of Adrien, Florian Truffert was born in 2006. The defensive midfielder started in the Paris region with Chartres, before following his sibling to Brittany in 2021. He made his bow in the Reserves (National 3) in the French 5th tier in 2023, in an eventful local derby against TA Rennes, which finished in a 4-4 draw. He cut his teeth with the U19s National, playing 53 games, and also made 9 appearances in the French Youth Cup (Coupe Gambardella). He was elevated to the Reserve side, and his performances under Sébastien Tambouret earned him the captain's armband, and on 20th March 2026, he was rewarded with his first professional contract, tying him to Stade Rennais until 2029.
