Georges Jazdzyk was a defender who was born in Rennes, and he went through all the age categories as a youth with TA Rennes, before joining the amateur teams of Stade Rennais during the 1960s. Under the stewardship of Jean Prouff, he made his professional debut at the end of the 1965/1966 season, playing in three matches in the First Division. He would then rapidly achieve promotion to the starting line-up with Rennes, demonstrating his versatility, being picked to play in all the defensive positions for his club during his first two seasons as a professional, mainly in central defence and at right-back. Alongside Cédolin, he would then become a lynchpin of the Rennes defence for the two following seasons. After being replaced by Chlosta in the 1970/1971 season, he left Rennes to sign for Montluçon where he would spend six seasons playing in the Second Division. There, he would be a key player, and he would even experience a season-and-a-half there as Player/Manager (from January 1973 to June 1974.) He ended his professional career in 1976.
