Born in Rennes, Hugo Boumous grew up in the same youth teams at Stade Rennais as Wesley Saïd. National finalist in the U9-11 age group, he didn’t join the Academy setup when he finished school. Boumous joined Laval in 2011 and signed his first professional contract there in May 2015.
