Born in the West of Brittany in the Finistère region, defender Isidore Moysan was developed at ES Kreisker Saint-Pol-de-Léon in the 1930s. He was recruited in 1937 by Stade Rennais where, over the course of his two years at the club, he would see little action, but played well whenever called upon to help out. At the outbreak of the Second World War, he returned to his childhood club, owing to the professional championship being suspended. After the war, he rejoined Rennes, and finally earned his spurs as a first-team regular on the left side of the Red and Blacks defence. Having spent a season with the Breton club, he had a brief spell in Normandy with Le Mans, before returning for a third stay with SRUC (Stade Rennais Université Club) to join the Federal Team, which was put in place under the Vichy regime in 1943. He would stay for just one solitary season, subsequently finishing his career with the amateur side Club Athlétique Evronnais.
