Struggling in attack, Stade Rennais under the management of Philippe Montanier started the search for new attacking options in January 2014 during the winter transfer window. Signed from Sivasspor in Turkey for 1 Million Euros, the Polish international Kamil Grosicki, arrived with the profile of a winger capable of providing crosses and key passes. Capable of playing on both left and right flanks, his arrival was above all to provide competition for a Jonathan Pitroipa who was suffering from a lack of inspiration. After disjointed first season-and-a-half at the club, he scored 8 goals in the 2015/2016 season, and extended his contract by three seasons on 11th March 2016. After scoring 4 goals (all after coming on as substitute) in 2016/2017, Grosicki signed for Hull City on 31st January 2017 in a deal worth 9 Million Euros.
