After a brief spell doing Sports Study at Saint-Méen-Le-Grand, Kevin Beauverger joined the Stade Rennais Academy in 2007. This pocket left back became a leader in the different teams that he represented. Captain of the Gambardella Cup side in 2012, and then of the Reserve team a year later, he took advantage of an injury crisis in defence to make his first appearance in the professional squad in May 2013 at Valenciennes, where he had to cover the left side of the defence after the combined sendings-off of Foulquier and Boye. Stade Rennais didn’t offer him a professional contract however, and his left the club in May 2013 to join FC Lorient, where his old coach Régis Le Bris had become the Director at their Academy setup.
