Mainstay of the youth teams at Stade Rennais since his arrival at the Academy, Lorenz Assignon signed his first professional contract on 3rd March 2020. The youngster from Grasse shone with his versatility. Having been coached as a right-back throughout his time at the Academy, he also demonstrated his ability to adapt his game to play in midfield or central defence.
