Lucas DA CUNHA

Lucas Da Cunha arrived at Stade Rennais in June 2016 from Roanne. Da Cunha is a versatile attacking player, and is one of the biggest hopes for the Stade Rennais Academy, where he joined the U21/Reserve side a year after arriving. In January 2018, this French Youth International signed his first professional contract. At the time, he became the youngest player to sign professional terms at the club, taking the record from previous holder Damien Le Tallec, before being overtaken by Eduardo Camavinga for that honour. After 5 appearances with the Red and Blacks in 2019/2020, including an outstanding performance in a start against Lazio in the Europa League, Da Cunha opted to depart for Nice, rather than extend his contract with Rennes, who had developed him as a player, as he could not obtain guarantees about game-time. He signed for Nice on 28th September 2020 for 1 million Euros..
