Midfielder Mahdi Camara began his career with Saint-Etienne, the club where he was developed. After two loan spells, at Laval and Brest, Camara signed for Stade Brestois, making his move to Brittany a permanent one in 2023. During his time in the Finistère region of Brittany, Camara made a total of 97 appearances, scoring 14 goals for Brest. Stade Rennais, on the lookout for players to bolster their midfield, signed the former French U16 and U19 international on a four year contract in a deal worth around 8 Million Euros on 13th August 2025.
