Malamine Doumbouya is a midfielder developed by Blois Football 41. As a primarily defensively oriented player, he joined Stade Rennais in 2017 to continue his development as an apprentice professional. He would play with the National U19 team of Rennes, winning the title and appearing in the UEFA Youth League in 2019. He would also get a couple of run-outs with the Reserves. In February 2019, the board were due to offer him a Professional contract, but this never materialised after the departure of the President, at that time, Olivier Létang. Disappointed with the situation, he chose to sign for FC Lorient in 2020, and progressively got to train with the professional group under boss Christophe Pélissier, whilst playing for the Reserve team. Having extended his contract there until 2023, he was loaned out to Portuguese Second Division outfit Leixoes, in February 2022. It should also be noted that Doumbouya was the Co-Founder of the BLO Association in Blois which was created to help the most disadvantaged people in society.
