Metehan GÜÇLÜ

Looking for a promising attacking player for the future in the 2019 close season, Stade Rennais signed Metehan Güçlü from Paris Saint Germain. The French-Turkish youngster signed a 4-year deal with the Red and Blacks on 31st August 2019. After a season of inaction, plagued by injuries, Güçlü was loaned to Valenciennes in Ligue 2 on 9th July 2020. In January 2022, he bounced back with a loan spell at Emmen in the Netherlands, and scored once during his spell there. At the end of July 2022, he was freed from the remaining year of his contract by Rennes, and he returned to Emmen to sign there on a permanent basis.
