On 21st August 2023, Cameroon player Nagida Aboubakar arrived from Ecole de Football des Brasseries in his native country to sign for Stade Rennais. This athletic left-back already had a title to his name, winning the Francophone Games with the 'Indomitable Lions'' U20 side. Pacy and powerful, he can play anywhere on the left flank. His five-year contract will give him the chance to earn his stripes with Rennes' Reserve Team, before joining the professionals in the First Team squad subsequently. On 29th September 2025, the promising full-back (with 26 First Team appearances to his name) signed a contract extension, tying him to the Red and Blacks until 2029.
