Born in the Moselle region in the East of France, midfielder Oswaldo Minci was picked up by Stade Rennais when he was playing for Stade Morlaisien. He signed for the Red and Blacks in 1948, where he would begin his professional playing career. He wouldn't be used much at the beginning of the 1948/1949 season, but he would end that season as first-choice in the starting eleven. He would pick up where he left off in the following season, demonstrating his versatility in the process, helping out in attack from time to time. In two seasons, he made a total of 45 appearances, scoring four goals for the Breton club. In 1950, he would leave Rennes to sign for FC Nantes with Bouteiller and Mattioni. During his five seasons there in the Second Division, he would prove his worth as one of the lynchpins of the Nantes side of the day. He finished his professional playing career in 1954, stepping down to play amateur football with Algrange in his native Moselle region, where he sadly passed away at the tender age of 54.
