The day after Alessandrini signed for Marseille at the end of June 2014, Stade Rennais recruited Pedro Henrique to replace him from FC Zürich, the same club from which a certain Shabani Nonda had arrived in 1998. He stood out for his desire and his sheer determination on the pitch, and got off to a great start in his new club colours, scoring his first goal in the Derby against Nantes at La Beaujoire Stadium in November 2014. Gradually, he began to lose his place in the starting line-up to Ntep and Grosicki, and then the talented youngster Dembélé. In the Winter of 2016, he refused to join Nantes, after a deal had been reached between the two clubs. With Christian Gourcuff in charge from the Summer of 2016, saw his game-time shrink still further. After 81 matches, and 8 goals, he was transferred to PAOK Athens on 30th January 2017. At the end of 2018, his path crossed the Stade Rennais once more with Astana in the Europa League.
