Pépé Bonet arrived from the INF Clairefontaine (National Football Centre) in July 2018, and enjoyed a meteoric rise with Stade Rennais. He achieved the title of U19 French Champions - though only aged 16 - in June 2019. The goalkeeper signed his first professional contract with Stade Rennais on 10th July of the same year, at the tender age of 16 years, 4 months and 27 days. His rise didn’t stop there, because he became third-choice keeper for the professional squad at the club on the eve of the 2019/2020, making his debut in the Europa League against Cluj (0-2) at Roazhon Park in 2019 after Mendy was sent off. It would prove to be his only appearance for Rennes, aged 16 years, 8 months and 11 days. Out of contract, at the end of his first professional deal, he left Rennes in May 2022. On 22nd June 2022, he signed for Red Star in the French Third Division (National 1).
