Having lost Hamari Traoré in the Summer transfer window in 2023, Guéla Doué in 2024, and Lorenz Assignon in 2025, Stade Rennais had to look for a new player to take up the rôle on the right-hand side of defence. On 5th August 2025, the Red and Blacks signed Polish international Przemysław Frankowski on loan from Galatasaray. Frankowski, who had previously made a name for himself with Lens, arrived in a rolling potential two-year loan deal, costing Rennes 2.75 Million Euros per season in terms of the player's salary. If Stade Rennais decided to make his stay in Brittany permanent, il would cost the club 7 Million Euros. After an injury-hit beginning to the season, the Polish full-back netted his first goal for Rennes in the away win at Lille on 3rd January 2026.
