At the end of January 2020, Riffi Mandanda tore up his contract at Boulogne sur Mer for a 5-month stint with Stade Rennais. Two months later, with not a single appearance on a team-sheet, his brief adventure came to a premature end at the same time as the club’s season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Younger brother of the famous Steve Mandanda (himself also a goalkeeper), Riffi Mandanda left the club at the end of his contract on 30th June 2020. At the beginning of September 2020, he bounced back in Norway at Kongsvinger.
