Serhou Guirassy signed for Stade Rennais on 27th August 2020. Developed at Laval and then a flop at Lille, this centre forward bounced back at Cologne before definitively showing his capability with Amiens in Ligue 1. His transfer to the Breton club cost Rennes 14 Million Euros. After scoring in his debut in the starting line-up for Rennes at Nîmes, he would notably go down in the club's history as being the first-ever player to score a goal for Rennes in the Champions League, against Krasnodar (1-1). He would score 13 goals in his first season, then notched up another 12 goals in the 2021/2022, despite spending most of the season as a substitute, scoring on average a goal every 149 minutes whilst at Rennes. On 1st September 2022, the Guinean international striker left Rennes to join German side VfB Stuttgart on a season's loan, with a 14 Million Euro buyout clause. Guirassy scored 13 goals in 27 matches in the Bundesliga in the 2022/2023 season, Stuttgart took advantage of the buyout clause to make his move to Germany permanent on 31st May 2023.
