After going through pre-training at the French Football Centre INF Clairefontaine, Steve Furtado arrived at the Stade Rennais Academy in the summer of 2010. This pacy and direct winger never managed to shake off the status of stand-in. After 4 seasons at the club, he was released, while other members of his age group, such as Adrien Hunou, Tiémoué Bakayoko or Steven Moreira, were signing their first professional contract. After a spell with Caen, he launched his professional career with US Créteil in National (French 3rd Division) in the 2016/2017 season.
