French Youth international Yaël Thébault is a product of the Stade Rennais Academy setup, and he signed his first professional contract with the club on 14th November 2024, despite being sidelined by a cruciate knee ligament injury in October 2024. The contract ties Thébault to Rennes, the team he supported ever since being introduced to the club by his grandfather, until 2028.
