Yann Batola is a goalkeeper who hails from the Loiret region in France. He started as a youngster with US Orléans in his hometown. In 2019, he was signed up by the Stade Rennais Academy setup. He would play in all of the youth categories for them, and was also a regular in the National youth teams. In 2022, he was drafted into the Rennes Reserves side. On 4th June 2023, with regular keeper Mandanda injured, and Salin with the reserves, he was called up to the professional squad for the first time for the final match of the Ligue 1 season at Brest, a decisive match in the race for a European place.
