On 15th July 2024, Stade Rennais captured the signing of Albert Grønbæk. The Danish midfielder arrived from Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt, where he had spent two seasons, catching the eye with his performances notably in the Europa League. He signed for Rennes in a deal worth 12 Million Euros plus 3 Million Euros in bonuses, on a 5-year-deal, tying him to the club until 2029, to compensate the loss of Enzo Le Fée, who left to sign for Roma. He is the second Danish player to wear the Breton club's colours since Brian Jensen in the mid-1990s.
