Born in 2003 in a footballing family, Andy Diouf started playing football aged 6 at La Garenne Colombes, near to Nanterre, and stayed there for 3 seasons. Aged 9, this left-sided midfielder left to join Paris Saint Germain. This talented player played each successive year in the age category above in the Youth Teams in the capital. After three seasons at Paris Saint Germain, and for reasons of geographic proximity, he ended up joining ACBB Boulogne Billancourt in the regional leagues, and also the National Football Academy in Clairefontaine. At the age of 15, he joined the Stade Rennais Academy set-up, but he suffered a major setback in his first year at his new club, as he sustained a serious injury which kept him sidelined for several months. But Diouf is a hard-worker, and recovered from this injury, getting back to his best, which - amongst other things - enabled him to participate in the Youth League with Rennes, as well as earn a call-up to the French U17 side. On 10th December 2020, he was rewarded with his first professional contract by Stade Rennais, which took effect as of 1st July 2021, and which would run for 3 seasons. On 18th February 2022, Diouf extended his contract until 2025. After making six substitute's appearances in the 2021/2022 season, he was loaned to FC Basel on 18th July 2022, with a buyout clause. After a successful season in Switzerland, crowned by a great run in the Europa Conference League, FC Basel took advantage of the buyout clause, on 2nd May 2023, to acquire Diouf's services on a permanent basis for an estimated 5.5 Million Euros.
