Developed at Montpellier, Anthony Ribelin played two matches with the First Team at his nursery club in the 2015/2016 season, but it was at Rennes where he signed his first professional contract on Tuesday 21st June 2016. This left-sided attacking midfielder had been named Best Reserve Team Player at Montpellier. On 31st January 2017, after just two appearances on the team-sheet, he was loaned out to Paris FC in National (French 3rd Division). After an encouraging loan spell in the capital city, he disappeared off-radar back in Rennes, before being sent back on loan to Sannois Saint-Gratien in National, at the end of which the club freed him from the remaining year of his contract.
