Son of Michel (former player and management figure at Stade Rennais), Arthur Sorin was part of the generation which won the Gambardella Cup (French FA Youth Cup) in 2003. This centre-back or right-back looked forward to his future at Rennes after coming on at the end of the Final at the Stade de France. In 2005, he went on to sign his first professional contract at the club, albeit only for one year. The lukewarm faith of the club in him was to be confirmed when he was loaned out immediately to Vannes. Although he had an encouraging amount of game-time, Manager Pierre Dréossi never opened the door to the First Team upon his return. He spent 6 months as an amateur with the Reserves before departing to Sweden where he signed for Kalmar. There he won the National Cup in 2007, and the Championship in 2008. After a short, but disappointing spell at Sedan in 2009/2010, he returned North, this time to Denmark.
