Aurélien Hérisson arrived at the Stade Rennais Academy in 2005, and was the substitute goalkeeper when Rennes won the Gambardella Cup (French FA Youth Cup) in 2008. Released by the club, he made a comeback with amateur sides Montluçon, Compiègne and Poiré-sur-Vie before signing his first professional contract with the top Singapore team Tanjong Pagar in 2013.
