Coupe de France (2019 avec Rennes)
Looking for a future goalkeeper, Stade Rennais and Manager Philippe Montanier put Edvinas Gertmonas on trial during the Summer of 2014. The tall Lithuanian goalkeeper (1.9 metres) impressed, and signed a four-and-a-half year contract in January 2015. He was immediately loaned back to his original club Atlantas Klaipeda to finish his studies and the season. When he returned to Rennes in July 2015, he continued his measured progression within the professional squad on a daily basis, playing with the Reserves at the weekend. In total, he was named on the team sheet on 34 occasions before his contract ended in June 2019 without ever making his full debut for Rennes. On 29th August 2019, he signed for Zalgiris Vilnius in Lithuania.
