Kader MEÏTÉ

Born in Creteil, Kader Meïté began his football journey as a player with Montrouge, in the Paris region. Aged 15, the tall striker moved to Stade Rennais and he scored three goals, and provided three assists for the Red and Blacks' Reserve team in the 2024/2025 season, before signing his first professional contract at the club on 5th November 2024. A few days later, he was given his first call-up to play for the Professional side in the home match against Toulouse on 10th November 2024. Meïté was even introduced after 80 minutes to make his full debut by interim manager, Sébastien Tambouret, but was unable save his team from slumping to a 0-2 home defeat during his short cameo performance. As the 2024/2025 season continued, it would be the arrival of new manager Habib Beye which would give Meïté the chance to become a regular in the First Team line-up. He finished his first season with 12 appearances, and two goals to his name with the professionals, thereby becoming the third-youngest player in the club's history to score in the First Team. He would mark the end of his season with the captain's armband for Rennes U19s, scoring and helping his side to lift the French Youth Cup (Coupe Gambardella) for the fourth time in the Red and Blacks' history, on 24th May 2025, in a 3-2 victory against Dijon at the Stade de France. On 30th January 2026, having scored five goals for Rennes during his time as a professional, Meïté signed for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia in a deal worth 30 Million Euros, plus upto 3 Million Euros in potential bonuses, and a 10% sell-on commission for the Red and Blacks on any future added-value.
