Quentin Rouger joined Stade Rennais FC’s Academy setup in 2005. Originally from Mayenne, he was a key player in all the youth team categories until he reached the Reserve team in CFA (French 4th Division) in 2009. Winger by trade, he progressively made his mark, mainly thanks to his pace, at ease with the ball at his feet, and his versatility, which led to him performing in different midfield roles within the team. Rouger signed a professional contract at Rennes in April 2011, with an option of an additional season, and then extended his contract to 2014 after a whole season with the Reserves in CFA2 (French 5th Division). In June 2012, he was sent out on loan to Guingamp for a season in Ligue 2, where didn’t quite make it, in spite of Guingamp having a great season, obtaining promotion to Ligue 1. In July 2013, Rouger was released from the last year of his contract, and signed for Vannes in National (French 3rd Division).
